Anne Leason Hitch, MA, ATR, LMHC

Anne is a Cape Cod artist who comes from a long lineage of artists. She is the granddaughter of Australia's artist, Percy Leason and daughter of Jean Leason Hitch (artist, restorer, past Art Curator at the Staten Island Museum, and listed in Who's Who in American Art) and Robert Hitch (a well known Cape Cod artist).

Having studied at Parson's School of Design in New York City, she graduated from Pratt-Phoenix School of Design, NYC, with a certificate in Magazine and Book Illustration. She later earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Art and Education from Marymount Manhattan College, NYC, and a Masters of Arts in Expressive Art Therapy from Lesley College Graduate School, Cambridge, MA.

A member of The Pastel Painters of Cape Cod and the Chatham Creative Arts Center, Anne has been represented locally by the following galleries:

As a fine artist, she works in oil, pastel, and acrylic to produce (as one art dealer described), "near museum quality pieces".



In addition to being an artist, Anne is also an Expressive Art Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a member of the American Art Therapy Association and the New England Art Therapy Association, and currently works with adults with disabilities at various day programs on Cape Cod.
